Helen Shultz believes that each child, adolescent or adult who comes for counseling brings a unique story of challenges and victories. She meets each client where they are and works to empower them to harness their strengths for healing and growth. Helen strives to provide a therapeutic experience that is compassionate, empowering and inclusive, and is dedicated to supporting clients of all ages, genders, sexualities, and cultural backgrounds. She integrates a variety of therapeutic modalities in a way that is person centered, strengths based and responsive to the needs, development and affinities of each client.
Helen has 10 plus years of experience working in a variety of mental health settings as a behavioral health technician, employment coach for mental health clients and most recently, as an outpatient therapist including four months as a substitute school counselor. She completed her master’s in clinical mental health counseling at the University of Northern Colorado, is a licensed professional counselor candidate and is working towards her LPC (licensed professional counselor) status as a Centus resident.
