Leah joined the Centus Counseling team in 2025 after two years as a school-based therapist in Denver. She now supports students at Denver Jewish Day School (DJDS), providing individual and group counseling and partnering with teachers and parents to promote students’ mental health and well-being. With more than 20 years of experience in the social work field—including policy, nonprofit, and community-based roles—Leah brings a broad perspective to her clinical work. Early in her career, after earning her MSW, she recognized that she wanted more time and life experience before stepping into clinical practice. Years later, as her eldest prepared to leave for college, she felt the time was right to make a career pivot toward therapy.

As a school-based clinician, Leah has supported children and families facing a wide range of challenges, including grief and loss, terminal illness, parental separation, trauma, anxiety, depression, attention and executive functioning difficulties, and behavioral concerns. She is also trained in EMDR. Collaboration with parents, teachers, and administrators is central to her practice, and parent coaching has become a particular strength influenced by both her professional training and her experience as a parent of four.

Her clinical approach is strengths-based and solution-focused, informed by family systems theory and trauma-responsive care, and incorporates mindfulness-based interventions, play-based and child-centered methods, and attachment-focused techniques. Leah is experienced in family systems work, women’s life-stage issues, grief and loss, and adoption. She strives to provide a calm, client-centered, and collaborative space that supports reflection, resilience, and meaningful growth.
